We’ll let you into a little secret. Our soap maker chooses solid bar soap over liquid, even though we make both. Why?

Solid soap has the advantage of being able to capture oils and butters in the bar, to make them the gentlest of cleansing options. Liquid soap can still be a wonderful choice in many situations but if we try to include too much moisturising oils they separate and float to the top, which isn’t desirable.

Solid soap also allows you to adjust the amount you use to suit the task.

For babies or facial cleansing, just the slightest wipe over the bar with a hand or konjac sponge is all that is needed.

Of course, not only is bar soap a great choice for your skin but the switch to soap bars from plastic bottled liquids is a big step in the right direction for the environment.

Remember that recycling is the least favoured choice from an environmental perspective.

Solid soap bars allow us to reduce dependence on plastic packaging in the first place.

Plastic free is ultimately the best choice for the environment.
